The target of the National Glass Center Foundation (FCNV) is the promotion, development and difusion of the craft and history of glass and concrete in their teaching, at various levels, including Higher Education.
School of Glass has developed training programs in the framework of Escuelas Taller, since 1990. To complete this training in 1994 began to run monographic courses in glass. The Foundation developed in 2005 workshops to employ adults over 25 years.
Higher Education Institution of Glass began in October 2006 as recognition of the need to offer higher education that did not exist until then. So we developed a curriculum covering all the processes of technical and artistic glass skills. This project is collaborating with the FCNV, the Education Council of the Junta de Castilla y León and Fundación ARCYL. Currently, this education consists of three academic years and a final senior project.
In 2010, following the implementation of the reforms promoted by the Bologna Process, the Higher Education of Glass will consist of four academic years and a senior project. It will also offer a bachelor's degree and different Masters and, in collaboration with the Universities of Castilla y Leon, PhD courses.
